My Japanese Teapot & Chinese Tea Cups

Well, yes....these are my clumsy attempts at trying to do what I read about today. I actually made myself read-up on food photography today and tried to practice what is preached and these are some of the shots I took. You can laugh if you want. I'm still a toddler. Maybe someday I'll be able to actually take photographs that are swoon worthy but I'm just not there yet!

Murasaki, the tea pot looks beautiful, I can really give any advice on photographs, because I only know how to "point & shoot" LOL.
Cheers,

Lovely teapot! I know I am certainly a tea addict. I'll drink any kind.

Katie: What's your favorite kind of tea or blend? :)

Adorable pot and cups. I'd say you're following the book's suggestions just fine.

I'm a little bit protective with the teapot we bought in Nara a few years ago. I only keep it in its original box with its original newspaper packaging and will only allow good green tea to be brewed in it. Are you weird about what goes into your pots too?

Siri: Not really! There's a school of 'tea' that believes in putting just about anything into your tea cups like eating right out of them and so on. I wouldn't put Coke in it though.

That said my favorite tea cup which used to be this boring cream color becomes rosier every time I put tea in it...so with this one I have to admit I'm a bit careful as what you put inside it seems to alter it's colorings.
